Obeo will be at the Eclipse Finance Day 2014, that will take place on October 31 in Zürich. This event is dedicated to anyone who wants to share with the community their success in adoption of Eclipse and open source technologies for financial, insurance or similar industries. Obeo will be at The Open World Forum this week with 3 talks. On Friday morning, Obeo will co-lead the track When Open Source Fosters Open Innovation.  Laurent Delaigue (Obeo) and Laurent Charles (Enalean) will present how two SME have worked together to tool up Ericsson with the first agile Open Source solution in Eclipse. Then, Stéphane Lacrampe will tell the story of the Thales and Obeo partnership. This close collaboration has led to the Open Source release of the Sirius project. These two success-stories will highlight the virtuous circle between Open Source and Open Innovation. On Friday afternoon, Christophe Boudjennah will participate to the Embedded track and will present How to land on Mars with PolarSys technologies. Once again, Obeo is sponsoring the EclipseCon Europe conference. This new edition will gather nearly 600 professionals and enthusiasts of the Open Source community from October 28 to October 30 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. For the lucky ones attending this event, we propose an initiation session to the Sirius technology, on Wednesday evening with the Obeo team. Beginners or advanced users, will be able to discover or to go deep into this project, on the topic of their choice. Xtext will hold its first dedicated conference, with a two-day period of presentations around this Eclipse technology. XtextCon will take place from May 27th at Kiel in Germany. How the textual approach of Xtext and the graphical one of Sirius could be complementary? This is what is going to present Cédric Brun, he will give a demonstration combining these both technologies. The third edition of the Eclipse Day Florence will take place on May 23rd. It is the place to be to meet the Eclipse italian community. Mélanie Bats will represent Obeo with 2 talks including one with the famous Arduino cat. The first talk will be about Sirius, with introduction of the concepts, and then a live coding session to demonstrate how to create your first designer with a few clicks. Sirius: build diagram, table and tree editors in 20 minutes! For the second talk, Mélanie will be accompanied by her Arduino cat based on Sirius. She will present how theses technologies could be used to create a programming learning platform for kids.
