A new edition of UML Designer is now available.
The 4.0 version of this Open Source modeler, integrated within Eclipse, was developed by Obeo with Sirius. Thanks to this Open Source technology, this modeling tool can be very easily extended and customized to any kind of use. So, it is possible to add a new type of UML representations or to combine the UML standard with more specific modeling approaches to a domain.
This new version, the first one based on Sirius, improves the customization capabilities with profiles, the UML standard mechanism to bring extensibility.
A web portal has also been created to ease the access to the documentation available: tutorials, user guide, developer guide, advanced documentation, etc.

Luna, the annual release train from the Eclipse community, is now available. This year 76 projects are participating in the release that includes 61 million lines of code and was developed by over 340 Eclipse committers. This is the ninth year the Eclipse community has planned, developed, and delivered a coordinated release that allows users and adopters to update their Eclipse installations at one time.
Highlights from the Luna release include the following:

New Sirius 1.0 release
New Eclipse Paho 1.0 release
Workbench UI Improvements
