Eclipse Kepler is ready for download
Eclipse Kepler is the new release train on the Eclipse Foundation. This year, the Eclipse community delivers 71 projects with the participation of 420 developers and more than 58 millions lines of code. The coordinated release demonstrates that open source development processes are very effective for large-scale distributed development.
“The Eclipse release train are very important to the success and growth of the entire Eclipse ecosystem,” explains Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. “Users and adopters of Eclipse technology know they can rely upon a predictable annual release schedule, so organization are confident about using Eclipse technology as their software development platform. Eclipse is a great example of how open source software has changed the software industry for the better.”
Obeo has actively participated to this new release with 1.6 millions lines of code contributed. This year, EMF Compare is the highlighted project with lot of new features in the 2.1 version. And also the new versions for Intent, Acceleo, EEF, ATL, Amalgam.
